This course is set for undergraduate students. The purpose of this course is to help you better understand the elements of various financial statements from a valuation approach. The focus of the course will be on: (I) a theoretical framework for financial statement analysis and corporate valuation; (II) a thorough discussion of how valuations are actually done in the real world. We will cover the finance, accounting, and business strategy concepts needed to prepare a valuation.
As a course taught in English, all class materials, communications, and exams will be in English. You are encouraged to ask questions and actively join class discussions, especially for the case studies, in English. In order to achieve this, class participations will account for an important part of your final grade.
